AEW Collision to Broadcast Live from Hammerstein Ballroom This December

AEW Collision Hammerstein Ballroom New York City Decemeber 2024

AEW Collision is reportedly heading to the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City for a live episode on Saturday, December 21, 2024. The same venue is reportedly to host Ring of Honor's Final Battle 2024, which also takes place in December.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast initially broke the news, adding that AEW Founder Tony Khan has long been interested in using this location, which holds a deep connection to pro wrestling history. Khan mentioned to SportsGrid earlier this year that he'd never been to the Hammerstein in person, describing it as a "really cool looking room" after seeing it televised.

The Hammerstein Ballroom has seen its fair share of pro wrestling events, from ECW to Ring of Honor. Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) also has an upcoming event planned for January 2025. WWE famously used Hammerstein for ECW One Night Stand 2006, which remains one of the venue's most iconic wrestling moments.
