Motor City Machine Guns win WWE Tag Team Championships
Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin are WWE Champions after only three matches
The Motor City Machine Guns are the new WWE Tag Team Champions after defeating the Bloodlines, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa last night on SmackDown!
It’s been a long time coming for the former TNA Impact World Tag Team Champions, as MCMG captured their first championship titles in the WWE after only debuting one week ago.
Earlier in the night, Shelley and Sabin defeated SmackDown tag team DIY to become the No. 1 contenders for the Tag Team Championships. This led to The Bloodline challenging the new No. 1 contenders to a match that same night.
The match itself (in typical Bloodline fashion) had a lot of outside interference, including former WWE Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso coming to aid his brother Jimmy Uso and O.T.C Roman Reigns in a ringside brawl against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. This allowed MCMG to hit their finisher ‘Skull and Bones’ and become new WWE Tag Team Champions.
