Mustafa Ali Opens Pro Wrestling School in Chicago
Former WWE superstar Mustafa Ali has opened a new pro wrestling school in Chicago, Illinois, called Chicago Wrestling Center, as announced on Saturday via Twitter/X.
Ali, a 20-year pro and former Chicago police officer, made his professional wrestling debut in 2003. He spent the first 13 years of his wrestling career on the independent circuit before debuting in the WWE in 2016, where he participated in their Cruiserweight Classic Tournament.
In 2023, Ali, after spending 7 years with the company, was released from the WWE. He would go on to debut for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling at TNA No Surrender, defeating Chris Sabin to win the TNA X Division Championship in his first match with the company. He also made his debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling earlier this year.
Chicago Wrestling Center
Chicago’s newest pro wrestling school is held inside ThinkFitClub, located at 6663 Howard St, Niles, Illinois, 60714.
As noted on their website, students can train to become professional wrestlers in an extensive four-month course, with the first class starting January 6, 2025.
Students will have access to the top-of-the-line gym, cardio equipment before and after training sessions, and cinematic cameras for promo classes.
Training at CWC costs $2500, and a 50% deposit is required to secure a spot in the upcoming course. Experienced wrestlers of 5 years or more are also welcome; tuition is $200 per month.
