Third-generation WWE superstar Randy Orton made history at SummerSlam 2004, when he defeated Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship to become the youngest world champion in WWE history, at the age of 24.

Randy Orton was only two years into his WWE career at the time when winning the World Heavyweight Championship, having debuted on March 16, 2002, at WrestleMania X8’s Fan Axxess. Under the tutorage of ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair and Triple H, alongside newcomer Batista as a member of the wrestling stable Evolution, Orton’s career was on a fast track to the top.

Will Randy Orton win the WWE Championship (again)?

With Orton turning 44 back in April, one would think that he would be winding down his career in professional wrestling. However, reports came out in August this year that he signed a new five-year contract extension with the WWE.

For over 20 years, The Apex Predator has entertained the WWE Universe, capturing championship gold all throughout his illustrious career. But rest assured, whether a member of the RAW or SmackDown locker room, when The Viper strikes and delivers his signature RKO, we could see Randy Orton add another championship to his Hall of Fame career.
