Rare Unseen NXT Footage of Dusty Rhodes from WWE Vault

This past weekend, the WWE shared some exclusive never-before-seen video footage from a NXT dark segment in 2013 with none other than The American Dream Dusty Rhodes.

The in-ring segment starts with Dusty Rhodes and John Bradshaw Layfield. The Dream, then brings out The Big Show, also known by his real name, Paul Wight.

Earlier this year, World Wrestling Entertainment created a new YouTube channel titled WWE Vault. According to its description, this new channel is "From the worldwide leader in sports-entertainment comes WWE Vault, the number one channel on YouTube for classic matches, hidden gems and never-before-seen footage. "

When did Dusty Rhodes start wrestling?

Rhodes began his career in pro wrestling in 1967 after seeing a newspaper ad for Tony Santos' professional wrestling promotion, Big Time Wrestling. For the next four decades, The American Dream would become one of the most recognized names in wrestling. He ended his career as Creative Director, Head Writer, and Trainer for WWE's developmental brand, NXT.

When did WWE NXT start?

NXT was formed in 2010 after WWE Chairman Vince McMahon introduced a new weekly program that would replace the defunct ECW brand. The WWE originally announced it as "the next generation of reality television with the debut of WWE NXT."
