Former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman's recent hiatus from All Elite Wrestling wasn't for no reason. The four-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner MJF reportedly has joined the cast of Happy Gilmore 2, the much-anticipated sequel to Adam Sandler's iconic 1996 sports-comedy film.

According to a report from Deadline's Justin Kroll, MJF will share the screen with other high-profile names like Kansas City Chiefs, NFL tight end Travis Kelce, and Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny. Both are set to make cameo appearances. Netflix officially announced the sequel in May, and on September 9, Netflix confirmed on social media that production is in full swing.

MJF's Growing Film Career

Happy Gilmore 2 is one of many movies MJF has worked on in 2024. He recently wrapped filming for an independent comedy titled The Floaters and has a role in the upcoming action film Stranglehold, where he stars alongside Ron Perlman as part of a villainous duo.

While details about MJF's upcoming role in Happy Gilmore 2 are still being worked out, his inclusion in the cast adds yet another accomplishment to the ever-growing MJF brand.
