Shawn Michaels Infamous Heel Turn on The Barber Shop.

The Shawn Michaels of 2024 in the WWE is a far cry from the version pro wrestling fans got from The Heartbreak Kid in 1993. But as natural as HBK was inside the squared circle as a performer, behind-the-scenes Shawn Michaels was a different beast. The transformation into The Heartbreak Kid dates back to 1992 during a segment of ‘The Barber Shop’ with Brutus Beefcake on WWF Wrestling Challenge. Shawn Michaels shocked the wrestling world by delivering Sweet Chin Music to his longtime tag team partner, Marty Jannetty of The Rockers, and ruthlessly throwing him through a window.

During a wrestling shoot interview on the podcast Grilling JR with Jim Ross, Conrad Thompson and Good Ol' JR talk about what HBK Shawn Michaels was like to work with early in his career and rise to superstardom and what his reputation was with other wrestling talent behind the scenes.

In a previous podcast episode of 'Grilling JR,' Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson discuss Shawn Michaels early career, his rise to superstardom, and his reputation behind the scenes. Known as simply HBK, Michaels would earn the nicknames 'The Showstopper' and 'Mr. WrestleMania,' cementing his legacy as a WWE Hall of Famer and one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time.
