The WWE has announced that on Saturday, December 14, 2024, for the returning WWE Saturday Night's Main Event in Long Island, N.Y., current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will defend his championship against Kevin Owens.
Earlier this year, WWE announced the return of its historic Saturday Night's Main Event program, stating that the returning show will air quarterly on NBC and Peacock as part of WWE's new, five-year domestic media rights partnership with NBCUniversal.
The American Nightmare and Owens have been building up to this matchup for some time, with the two facing off in a heated exchange on last week's WWE SmackDown.
Saturday Night's Main Event originally premiered on NBC in May of 1985, with the program's last televised return in July 2008.
