Are the Lucha Brothers going to the WWE?

This past September, rumours emerged that former AEW World Tag Team Champions Pénta El Zero and Rey Fénix of The Lucha Bros had signed contracts with World Wrestling Entertainment.

As reported by Sean Ross Sapp through Fightful Select shortly after, several sources within the WWE confirmed to Fightful that the two brothers had not signed deals as their contracts were still active with All Elite Wrestling.

But this past week, AEW officially removed Penta from their roster page, indicating he is now a free agent and could be one step closer to making his WWE debut.

When does Rey Fénix AEW contract end?

What about Pentagon Jr's real-life brother Rey Fenix?

Dave Meltzer reported on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter this past September that AEW added injury time to Fénix's current contract, extending the duration before he could leave.

Last week, Fénix responded to a fan on Twitter/X expressing their frustration with AEW not using Rey Fénix saying,

AEW not using Rey Fenix is fuckin WRONG!😡

WWE sells out almost every arena they go to. They’re doing the best business they ever have. WTH does Tony Khan think will happen if the Lucha Bros go there?

WWE isn’t being hurt by this AT ALL! The only one being affected is Fenix, and he’s the most innocent party in all of this.

Fénix responded to that tweet, saying,

How will the Los Lucha Bros fit into the WWE?

The WWE has recently taken steps to ramp up its tag team division, with the recent acquisition of the Motor City Machine Guns and putting the Tag Team Championships around their waists within the first week with the company.

Both Pénta El Zero and Rey Fénix have all the tools to be huge stars when presented on the largest stage as long as their characters, showmanship and athletic abilities aren't suppressed.

Do you think that The Lucha Bros are WWE bound?
